The Lake was construct by the British Government in 1894 to to fulfill the water requirement of the people, to increase the ground water level and provide water for irrigation. Rain and snow fall is the main source of the water in the lake. The total area of the lake is 1818 acres.
Distance of the lake from Quetta city is 20 – 25 kilometers and take one hour to reached. It’s family tourist place and the facilities in the park made is famous tourist location of Balochistan.
The restaurants offer tea, samosa, pakora, cold drink and Bar.B.Q items to the visitors.
